6/5

Today we got up early and traveled to Lunahuana!
Lunahuana is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen if not the most beautiful. The first activity we did when we got there was water rafting! The view was amazing. We were in the valley of these mountains and the water was bright blue with vegetation all around it. The paddling was hard work, and I got soaked by the end! After the rafting we all went on an ATV ride which was a lot of fun. We all got our own ATVs and rode through a short path with beautiful views of the mountains.
After going back to the center of the small town, we had lunch and then walked around the surrounding area, looking at the town, and it's architecture. A bunch of us got bit by these flies in Lunahuana that made you bleed right after being bitten, but as we were walking through the town we walked by a plant whose root we were told by our guide would help to heal the bug bites, so we used some of that on our bites and the swelling seemed to go down.
After the city tour we got back on our bus and headed to a winery in Lunahuana called Viña Los Reyes. There we tasted wine and a little bit of pisco. The wine was very good, and only 15 soles for a bottle, which equals about $4.5 so I got a bottle of red wine called Gran Borgoña. After the winery we got back on the bus and went to this other destination in Lunahuana where we could walk down to the water.
The view from there was the most beautiful view I've ever seen in my life. I've included pictures of it below, but the pictures don't do it justice. The water was incredibly blue, and the view of the mountains in the distance was incredible.
That was our last stop on the trip, and after that we packed up our stuff and headed back to Miraflores. Today was one of my favorite days of the trip so far, because every activity was a lot of fun!
