6/11

Today was our last day in Lima! In the morning I went and got sushi and a salad at a restaurant in Larcomar with people from the trip. We went to the same place we went last time but this time I got a different kind of sushi with shrimp instead of crab. It was very good, but I think I like the crab sushi I ordered last time better. After sushi on my way back I stopped at a department store and picked up a few things I needed for tomorrow.
Then the packing began. I needed to pack one bag to bring to Cuzco and one bag that is being stored this week and then will be sent to Boston. It was extremely hard to fit everything but I managed to do it!
At night we had a fancy dinner at a restaurant called Rosa Nautica at a place right along the water. We were all sitting around enjoying our dinner when all of a sudden Monica came in and told us the ex-president of Peru, Alejandro Toledo, was in the restaurant and going to come and speak with us. Before we knew it, we had the ex-president of Peru speaking to us about the globalization of the world. He was an interesting guy and spoke half in Spanish and half in English. He mostly talked about technology and how much he hates Donald Trump.
After our meal we took photos outside the restaurant along the water. I don't have any photos of that on my blog, but I'm sure there will be some on facebook.
We finished dinner late but some of us still went out to a bar in Miraflores since it was our last night. We stayed there for about an hour, and then went back home.
