6/10

Today was a free day! Last night was a late night, so I got up around 10:30 and met people for breakfast/lunch at Crepes & Waffles around 11:30. A few of us had made plans yesterday to go hiking today at a place called Lomas de Lucumo in Lurin near Pachacamac. We had made plans to go with our teacher, Romeo from El Sol. So at 1, me, Anna and Jake met Romeo at a Starbucks near by and then we drove to Lomas de Lucumo which was about 45 mins away. The area near the mountain was a farm town with dogs, chickens, and cows everywhere. The mountain is green and lush in the summer but since it's winter here now, it was pretty dry.
The climb took about 2 hours. The view from the top was cloudy but nice. You could see the ocean from the top through the clouds and the village below. After the hike we drove back to Miraflores and I went back home and got ready for the night where we went out to a bar called Ayahuasca in Barranco. Ayahuasca was a very cool bar that was a old renovated colonial house.
I went out with people from my trip as well as the other student who is living with the same host mother as me and Carson. The bar was a lot fun, but later on in the night we wanted to dance so we walked down to another strip with a lot of bars and went to one with dancing.
We stayed out until about 3:30 am again and I was pretty tired by the time I got home.
